EXIM Routes is a global paper recycling platform, rooted in tech and innovation. EXIM Routes Intelligence System (ERIS) is the world’s first AI-enabled solution, enhancing decision-making and reducing risk for partners. ERIS smartly matches buyers and suppliers for the best outcome, intelligent market insights, and real-time material management. For paper mills, ERIS reduces costs, manages cash flow and ensures quality inventory via multiple sources, whilst also navigating uncertainties and high costs in global logistics chain via alternate options. This is especially relevant in today’s world where local fiber sources cannot meet demand, coupled with high cost of capital. For suppliers like Material Recycling Facilities (MRFs), ERIS boosts turnover rate and revenues. In under two months, ERIS has 50+ paper mills and MRFs across 20+ countries, with 150k+ MT inventory across 15+ paper grades.
ERIS originates from a deep understanding of the challenges in the recyclables value chain. Manish Goyal, CEO of EXIM Routes and a paper engineer from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), along with industry and technology experts, developed ERIS to address those challenges through innovative, cost-effective solutions.
How does it work?
ERIS offers smart matches of buyers and suppliers for the best outcome – facilitating buy-sell with end-to-end support.
Paper mills raise demands on ERIS based on their inventory and budget, including required grade, price and origin country. MRFs upload their inventory of grades on ERIS with volume, and quality parameters. ERIS’ AI-enabled intelligence provides tailored price guidance and personalised recommendations to strengthen offers for both parties.
Using its smarts, ERIS finds the best material options for paper mills based on required quality and cost. These matches are optimised for grade, origin country, price, quality, volume, as well as trends and forecast of global freight, indigenous grade-specific prices, and forex to optimise procurement. Our vision is to identify mill quality needs all the way to source supplier and plan buying.
ERIS also takes care of all post-sales support incl. delivery tracking, and quality of inventory. ERIS leverages technology and data to uphold the highest standards of quality control and minimise claim issues. If required, it also provides seamless handoff to EXIM’s dedicated quality inspectors who visit paper mills to resolve remaining issues, and enter relevant feedback into ERIS to improve matching algorithms. For MRFs, ERIS offers flexibility of different payment terms, logistics planning, and claims management.
