The International Recycling Week (IRW) event returns as an in-person event in February 2023! There has been progress in the waste and recycling sector as several countries are continuously looking at ways to innovate and are setting out new roadmaps to reduce waste, improve recycling rates and move towards a circular economy. Growing awareness among consumers, investors and businesses is also driving the shift towards sustainability.
Various stakeholders including government and private entities have come together and increased their commitments to achieve their sustainability goals. Import regulations are changing in many countries, the pandemic has impacted markets worldwide, new trends are taking shape and various recycling sectors like paper, metals, etc., are facing new challenges and opportunities. At present, businesses are continually looking at ways to innovate, develop clear targets to improve their performance and find new markets and solutions that help meet their goals.
Waste & Recycling Middle East and Africa magazine presents the second edition of International Recycling Week, an in-person event that aims to connect industry professionals to the latest information and technology developments in the fast changing recycling industry. The event has 5 main conference tracks – Paper, Metals, WEEE, Construction and Demolition (C&D), and ELV Recycling. Each day dedicated to one of the sectors will witness keynote speeches, panel discussions, presentations, tech talks and more.
Join us for a unique event for the resource sector, the 3-day conference that offers a meeting place for international experts including top recyclers, manufacturers, researchers, decision-makers and other stakeholders who are keen to share their knowledge, experience and insights on most pertinent issues, regulatory aspects, trends impacting demand and supply, how they can mitigate risks, challenges, what the road to recovery looks like, opportunities the sector presents, and make informed decisions to enhance their operational and economic performance, and also improve their environmental impact.
The event will witness 800+ international industry professionals from the paper, metals, e-scrap, ELV and C&D sectors. The Conference’s interactive panel discussions provide an opportunity to exchange views and ideas not only with manufacturers, recyclers, traders, retailers, waste management companies, developers, construction companies and technology providers, but also with other important stakeholders such as government authorities and the end consumers, among others.
Over three days, an international line-up of expert speakers will present views, insights and advanced technologies to extract maximum value from different waste streams. Experts in various sectors including metals, paper, ELV, e-scrap and C&D recycling will throw the spotlight on new business models with focus on circular economy and their critical role in reducing waste and preserving resources.
A tabletop exhibit area will feature a wide range of innovative solutions and leading technology providers will showcase the capabilities that will help maximise efficiency and profitability in recycling, recovery or other operations. These international companies are working with various entities to ensure that maximum resources are recovered and reused as the world moves towards a circular economy.
