Talking about the challenges in treating medical and hazardous waste, Dr. Al Khouri pointed out, “The treatment facilities must comply with strict regulations and requirements to ensure that the waste is treated properly and safely. Additionally, they must have the necessary infrastructure and equipment to handle waste adequately.

There is also a need to ensure that the treated waste is disposed of in an environmentally-friendly manner to prevent any adverse effects.”
