Launched in 1935 as a manpower solutions provider, DULSCO has steadily grown and expanded its business to become a giant in the industry. Today, Dulsco Group is the region’s leading integrated solutions provider, operating under three main verticals: People Solutions, Environmental Solutions, and Talent Solutions. “With a key focus on aiding local communities to achieve increased productivity, efficiency, and sustainability, the company strives to be better today than it was yesterday,” says David Stockton, CEO of Dulsco Group.
2022: KEY HIGHLIGHTS
One of the major highlights over the past year has been Dulsco Group’s participation as Official Waste Management Partner at Expo 2020 Dubai. Dulsco Group contributed to creating the ‘most sustainable Expo in the history of World Expos’ - a challenging feat to accomplish amid Covid-19 shutdowns. It effectively utilised Expo 2020 Dubai as a platform to spread awareness on the ‘4 R’s of sustainability - reduce, reuse, repurpose, and recycle, hoping to inspire a culture of change among visitors to the event. One notable achievement at the Expo was the launch of the Refuse-Derived Fuel (RDF) Plant capable of processing more than 70,000 tonnes of waste per annum – the equivalent of 7,000 garbage trucks of waste diverted away from landfills. Other key technological feats came from its Paper Pulp Moulding Plant, Oil Re-refinery Plant, and Material Recovery Facility. Dulsco also upcycled waste into furniture at ‘The New, Old & Reloved’ brand.
A LEADING SERVICE PROVIDER
With decades of experience, the Group demonstrates total commitment and dedication to accomplishing its individual company and larger societal goals. The Environmental Solutions vertical added over 1100 new clients between January 2021 – August 2022, now serving a total of 2300 clients across the UAE. The Environmental Solutions vertical has also increased its revenue by a substantial 45 per cent over the past year.
BIG PLANS FOR 2023
Over the next 12 months, Dulsco plans to be an active participant of the Conference of Parties (COP28) to be held in November 2023. As a company that prides itself on its eco-friendly footprint with the goal to expand its message on sustainability, Dulsco hopes to utilise the COP28 platform to bring about numerous reforms and open up the global discourse on ways to combat climate change, as a united global force. Dulsco aims to contribute significantly to meet Dubai’s target of zero-waste-tolandfill by 2030. In line with its Net Zero ambitions, Dulsco joined a select group of major UAE organisations and signed a Climate-Responsible Pledge to support the UAE’s decarbonisation drive in line with the UAE net zero by 2050 Strategic Initiative. Dulsco’s RDF plant post Expo 2020 is being relocated in Dubai to better serve the UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021-2031, which will help divert waste away from landfills.
OUR PEOPLE, OUR SUCCESS
“The key to our success is our constant desire, drive and tenacity to excel in our engagement with communities, our clients, our staff, and the UAE. I would also credit Dulsco Group’s successes to our outstanding united and committed workforce and staff - each and every individual plays a huge role in allowing us to work efficiently and effectively, day in and day out, for which we have been recognized through multiple awards and industry accolades. I look forward to what Dulsco Group will accomplish in the upcoming year, and if this year was any indication for the future, amazing things are yet to come,” says Stockton.
