The order from Umm Al Qura Development and Construction Company (UAQ) is for a new part of the city, Masar Makkah, where its core components, walking boulevards, are equipped with waste bins and over 210 plots with hotels and hotel apartment buildings are connected to a pipe network.

Waste is collected by vacuum conveying to a transfer terminal, where the waste ends up in containers, which relieves the complete area from litter, waste bins and waste trucks. The system is dimensioned for up to 300 tons of waste per day. The new design, build and operate contract includes operation and maintenance until the end of 2030.

In addition, the company has received a new order from the Saudi Binladin Group (SBG) for the area of Mataf within the holy mosque. This area will be connected to the automatic waste collection system supplied by MariMatic. Recently secured contracts in Saudi Arabia totals 60 million euros, as per the statement.
