Across over fifteen years of rapid modernisation and real estate sector development, Dubai’s Imdaad Group has served as one of its most innovative and forward-thinking fully integrated Facilities Management (FM) providers. While Imdaad’s award-winning services extend across nine independent business divisions and counting, their contributions to sustainable waste management in the UAE simply cannot be understated.
Imdaad has met the FM industry’s most pressing challenges head-on through major investments in infrastructure and a growth strategy that is fully integrated with the UAE’s 2030 Agenda sustainability goals. This includes the award-winning FARZ, Imdaad’s state-of-the-art Material Recovery Facility, and one of its most successful efforts to date. Imdaad’s waste management services also extend to end-to-end wastewater management, biomedical waste management, recycling services, pool cleaning, and more. They have distinguished themselves as early adopters of environmentally friendly green cleaning methods, as well as a range of technologically advanced building management solutions.
2022: A SUCCESSFUL YEAR
Throughout 2022, Imdaad has continued to consolidate its market leadership through a series of new and renewed service deals with high-profile entities such as the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (DCAA), leading Dubai-based property developer Nakheel, the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children, and The Indian High Group of Schools (IHS). Imdaad has also recently secured three longterm contracts that will see it provide extensive services to Al Barari, the region’s first integrated luxury and active eco-conscious development.
The group’s efforts throughout the last year have certainly borne fruit, with numerous industry recognitions including IFM 2022’s Waste Management Company of the Year, Cleaning Company of the Year and Lifetime Achievement awards, MEFMA 2022’s Technology Implementation award, and MECHF 2022’s Best COVID 19 Response award. Other titles serve as a testament to Imdaad’s unwavering dedication to employee well-being, including its third five-star rating in a row at the fifth annual Taqdeer Award. Dedicated to promoting global labor protection best practices in Dubai, the award also recognized three of the group’s distinguished employees as 2022’s Best Engineer, Best Supervisor, and Best Labour Worker.
Mr. Jamal Abdulla Lootah, Imdaad’s visionary Group CEO and one of Arabian Business’ Most Influential Arabs of 2022, had this to say at the tail end of another successful year: “Ultimately, what drives us is our truly unshakeable self-conviction. We believe that Imdaad’s work is vital to Dubai and the UAE’s trajectory, and the health and happiness of all those who make it the global hub it is today.”
SIGHTS SET ON THE WIDER REGION
While its reach continues to extend to every corner of the UAE, Imdaad also has its sights set on the wider region. Through Imdaad Al Batinah, Imdaad has already built up a significant presence in neighbouring Oman. The business division provides door-to-door waste collection for over 800,000 people in North Al-Batinah and for 10 states in the Governorate of Musandam.
The group continues to expand into the Egyptian market through its joint venture with LMD, Egypt’s fast-growing developer of premium-quality real estate, which will see it deliver a full range of world-class FM solutions on a national scale. Imdaad aims to employ more than 2,000 people in Egypt by 2026 and is looking to expand further as it consolidates its position within the local market.
