Tadweer Group has announced its role as the official sponsor of the 20th edition of the Liwa Date Festival. The event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Presidential Court, will take place from July 15 to 28, in Liwa City, in the Al Dhafra region.

As part of its commitment to promoting environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices, Tadweer Group’s Community Engagement team will host a dedicated booth focused on raising awareness for recycling and promoting the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle) through interactive activities, contests, and educational sessions. The booth will also serve as an interactive platform to encourage waste segregation and environmental sustainability, and showcase the organisation’s key projects with the aim to divert waste from landfill.

Tadweer Group will also serve as the primary entity responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the festival. More than 50 members of the team will provide cleaning and waste management services dedicated to the full festival cleanup. Tadweer Group will also provide over 150 different containers for waste collection and disposal.

The organisation’s Community Engagement team is dedicated to raising awareness for recycling among the public, and showcasing the importance of sustainable practices. From festivals to workshops, exhibitions and interacting with the youth at schools, the team continues to promote a sustainability mindset across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra, and Al Ain.
